| Dare Fusion Participates in the 48Hr Film Project |
|
August 14, 2009 - San Diego. Dare Fusion participates in the creation of one of the top films of San Diego for the 2009 48Hr Film Project. Dare Fusion President Rob Lewis was invited by the team at NAS Productions to work in the role of Producer as part of "Team Team" the 2009 team being formed in order to compete in the 48 Hour Film Project.  Dare Fusion and NAS Productions combined with the Bui Brothers and Paul Dateh to create Cursed Ground, a top 13 film.
"Creating a film in 48Hrs is an amazing challenge and a great way to force yourself to focus intensely on just what's important." says Rob Lewis. "I have to say the thing that impressed me the most, other than the beauty of the shots our team got, was the work of Paul Dateh. He worked in real time with the editing staff at a make-shift workstation where he watched a segment of the movie and then played keyboard, violin, or both to score it with music that matched the emotion. It was and is fascinating. Just watch and listen and you'll realize the music gets you way before the scene does." The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which teams make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. On Friday night, teams get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in their movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. Then it will show at a local theater, usually in the next week. In 2008, some 30,000 filmmakers made films in 70 cities. This year is even bigger, with filmmakers around the world taking the challenge to make a film in just 48 hours. *** Dare Fusion Media Contact |
